Our
company is the subscriber of some magazines and newspapers. Some of these
magazines and newspapers, such as Tempo Magazine, Koran Tempo, and Kompas, are
read by many employees, while others like The Jakarta Post and Bisnis Indonesai
are read only by a few.
There are some employees who often forget to
return the magazines and newspapers back to their place after they read them. I
don’t mean to prejudice my colleague. I believe that they really forget to
return the magazines and newspapers. However, there is another possibility.
That is, thsese people are reluctant to walk and return the magazines and
newspaper they have borrowed.
Actually,
many of us often do the same thing, not only in the workplace, but also outside
the office as well. We forget to return
things such as pen, pencil, scissor book, etc. Nevertheless, we must remember
that things we borrow are not ours. Therefore, we have to return them. We also
have to make sure that they are in good condition. If something we borrow is broken,
we have to apologize and replace it if the owner demands us to do so.
For
those who are reluctant to walk, please remember that walking is a good
exercise. Walking is also an easy and cheap sport. You can do it almost
everywhere. Yo do not need a lot of money as well. It is highly recommended for
busy people who almost don’t have time to do an exercise which requires a larger
place, more time, and more money. As the starting point, instead of reaching
your colleague by phone, why don’t you walk to his/her desk?
