I
have decided to do a challenging speech project. In the project, I have to act
as if I am a salesperson offering a relatively cheap product to a customer. I
have persuade3 someone to buy my product. For me, the challenges lie on the fact that I
have to be answer unpredictable questions, I have to be more spontaneous, and I
have to make more preparations. I have to prepare not only the speech but also
the role play as well.
Why
is this project challenging? Well, I am not a spontaneous person. I am more comfortable
when doing everything according to a plan. In all my speeches, planned it, I
drafted it, delivered it without questions and answers (Q&A) session, as
well as role play session. In addition to that, I don’t think I am a persuasive
person.
Sometimes,
I feel that I want to change the project to a more comfortable one. However, I
remember someone who took similar project. She said that she took the project
because she is not good at it, so that she was willing to learn. I think I have
the same reason with her. I have to get out of my comfort zone.
